Being the daughter of real estate mogul, Donald Trump, it´s only fitting that Ivanka Trump has a stunning apartment in the Trump Tower on Manhattan´s upper 5th Avenue. Unfortunately we can´t all have her stunning good looks (obviously all from her mother), her big bank account nor her many admirers, but we can have the fabric covering her sofa and chairs!!
Her apartment is the perfect mix of color, contemporary mixed in with antiques and just the right amount of feminine touch without making it too girly.
The sofa is covered in Lulu DK´s Moondance and the chair in her office is Catwalk.
Now available for the first time in Stockholm at K & Co. !!
Please visit the shop to see Lulu´s entire collection!!
I have had the image of this in my mind for the longest time and now I finally found an actual picture of it... my dream house!!! I love everything about it.. its white clap boards, black shutters and entry door and the symmetry of the window peaks on the second floor. That its set in a gorgeous green surrounding with lush tall trees just makes it even better. A house like this is perfect in all seasons.. but i think the most beautiful in the fall.
Eric Appel in New York has amazing taste and finds incredibly chic furniture all over the world for his Upper East Side shop. I am a big fan of lucite and think this combination is incredible... brass base with really thick cut lucite top.
In my dreams I am the proud owner of a garden pavilion this beautiful, situated somewhere in the Hollywood Hills with a deep dark blue pool and stunning house next to it. It never hurts to dream and pictures like this is such a source of inspiration. This cozy little outdoor living room was part of Mary McDonalds former home and was featured in House & Garden in 2001.
Well done Mary!

I am trying to narrow down ideas for my design studio and really liked these two pictures. This is a work in progress but with a fast approaching due date. I need to have this up and running by January....
One of my favorite hotels in the world is Maison 140 in Beverly Hills, LA. I think my obsession and admiration of its designer, Kelly Wearstler, began when I stayed there while working on a design project in Bel Air a few years ago. This boutique hotel is so exquisitely decorated and carefully designed. Each room is different but carries an exotic and asian inspired feel throughout. Looking at these pictures takes me back in time a bit... Whether you´re staying in the red chinoiserie room (as I did many times) or having a cocktail in the moody red lounge downstairs.. you never know what rockstar or actor has been there before you....
More on this design icon later but in the meantime you can visit the following links for more inspirational photos www.kwid.com www.maison140.com
As a lover of nature and the woods, I immediately fell for this idea. Pictured above is the offices of Selgas Cano architecture firm in Madrid ( I´m not sure how far outside the city this can be ) who have found a way to draw up furniture plans while sitting under leafy trees. Although in a work environment, these happy architects get to be one with nature while sharpening their pencils.. It´s genious!
After a very productive Sunday "board" meeting I am now geared up for some changes and am excited to get crackin´... as soon as I beat this horrible cold that has me stuck in bed. Thank goodness it´s not the dreaded swineflu. Luckily I have a boyfriend who is holding down the fort at the shop in my absence, so the door is still open !
There are new and exciting changes happening really soon.. but first we´ll focus on the holidays and all that comes with that. I for one, am very excited that Christmas is just around the corner.
Keep checking in and I´ll keep you posted on updates as we get closer...
I have decided I am going to continue writing my blog in English. I am doing this for two reasons.... 1) so that my dear friends back in the states actually can understand what I write and not only have to look at the pictures, and 2) I am quite frankly, much more comfortable writing in English and hope that I won´t be as intimidated in writing on here if I do.
I wish!
